About
The 21st Annual Conference took place in Athens on 16–17 December 2022 in hybrid format. It was co-organised by the Postgraduate Programmes of the Department of Accounting and Finance, University of Macedonia, and the Center of Excellence in Logistics, Shipping and Transportation of The American College of Greece.
The first day, at the Grand Hyatt Athens, featured discussions on Greece as a magnet for green investment and the opportunities of the energy transition, and on the energy crisis and the Greek economy. The second day, at Deree – The American College of Greece, brought more than 18 sessions of peer-reviewed research and the panel “Improving Research in Accounting and Finance”, chaired by Panayiotis Theodossiou with Manthos Delis, Dimitrios Gounopoulos and Chris Florackis.
The conference also presented its Lifetime Award of Excellence to Theodore Sougiannis (University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign).
