The governing bodies of the Association are (a) the General Assembly, (b) the Board of Directors and (c) the Audit Committee. The Board of Directors and the Audit Committee are elected every three years. The Association’s registered seat is in Athens.

General Assembly

The General Assembly is the Association’s sovereign body and comprises all ordinary and corresponding members whose subscriptions are paid up. It meets in ordinary session once a year, approves the annual accounts and budget and, every three years, elects the Board of Directors and the Audit Committee. See also the Association’s General Assemblies.

Board of Directors

The Board of Directors governs the Association, manages its affairs and assets, and ensures that its aims are pursued. It is elected by secret ballot for a three-year term and, at its first meeting, elects from among its members a President, a Vice-President, a Secretary General, a Deputy Secretary General and a Treasurer.

Audit Committee

The three-member Audit Committee is elected by the General Assembly at the same time as the Board of Directors. It audits the Association’s financial management and submits an annual report to the General Assembly.

All offices within the Association’s bodies are honorary and unpaid. Their composition and operation are set out in detail in Articles 12–20 of the Statute.
